Homage

Working on homage yesterday. Didn't turn out at all like the one I'm imitating. In fact it didn't turn out at all. Lighting is my nemesis, esp studio. Had a wonderful model for the image but I just couldn't figure out the light. I did like the one of the model that isn't like the original artist's but I think may send the same message.

Book Ideas

I have several ideas for my book just not positive which one I want go with.
Currently volunteering with the Willow's Way Camera Club, working with Nathan on a weekly basis. One of my ideas would be to display both my work and Nathan's work in the book. Showing the different views we both see  the world.

My last field trip with Nathan we visited the St Charles Adoption Center. Made me think I'd like to promote the center through my photography.

 

Since animals are such a big part of my life I thought about a book of "Animal Effects". How they effect us and vice vera. I've read where pet ownership is at an all time high. Just thinking the recession may be part of the reason.

Another thought for a book is about faces and "first impressions". Faces fascinate me esp, eyes. I think it'd be interesting to photograph people w/o giving background info and see how the subjects are judged. ...........................................................................................................................................

Would love to photograph  Randy Grim and his adventures, rescuing animals. Not sure if I can get access to him. He's become pretty famous in the animal world. Guess I need to try before I assume.
